Pregnancy Centers and informationWomen have the right to know.

California now requires pregnancy centers and clinics to share with women all health care services and options that are available to them. This new law is the Reproductive FACT Act.

Pregnancy centers must let women know if they are licensed and if staff or workers are licensed health care providers. They must also share information upfront about the services they provide as well as available public programs.

Pregnancy centers have to let women know that there are public programs that provide free or low-cost access to safe and government-approved birth control, abortion and prenatal care, along with a contact number to call for more information.

Hiding health facts, services, and options can be dangerous. When women get all of the facts, they can work with their doctor or health care provider to make the best health decision.

Keep in mind that if you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant, it is best to see a licensed professional.

Talk to your doctor or health care provider for more information.
